LUVJOY Couples will make your heart skip a beat!  We love pouring into relationships especially of couples.  Below we are sharing some tips for you and you sugar muffin to increase the prosperity in your partnership

Surprise one another

It still wows me to think Jo and I have spent 11 whole years together. I know that for some seasoned couples that's chump change, but we are diligently working to live a life full of beautiful years in love and partnership together. To keep things fresh, Jo and I like to alternate date nights where each person plans date night for the month. We follow a budget to ensure our financial relationship stays healthy and enjoy the challenge of creating new memories and experiences together. Some of my favorites have been going to a haunted house, beach picnic and going out dancing. How do you keep your relationship fun, fresh and spontaneously surprising?

One additional tip to help you decide which way to surprise your partner is to learn and understand their love language. Below is a chart to help familiarize you with your partners love language.

Create a sacred time together Just like we make special time for girls trips, church, work schedules and birthdays, premium quality time is crucial to continue building strong relationships. Creating a practice that you and your partner share to build one another up, have some intentional intimacy or building your relationship through workshops or couples retreats/conferences encourages healthy relationships, increases trust, and cultivates happy memories. Whether it's 10 mins or 10 days, find what works for you and your support system, schedule it and enjoy. Long lasting and healthy couples need QT to stay rejuvenated!

We've listed some simple ways to cultivate sacred space below:

  • Develop a spiritual practice that creates an aligned foundation

  • Create a bedtime routine to read together, pray or journal

  • Workout together

  • Plan lunch at work together once a week

  • Volunteer/Community Service together

  • Cook a new recipe together

  • Schedule technology free time together

Find other Committed Couples Having couple friends is something that I cherish. #1 it's so much fun! Plus, you can learn, laugh and grow so much when you create and participate in a community of healthy friends that are walking in the same direction. We've learned so much from our couple friends from setting goals, to better eating habits, finance tips and great recommendations of travel! Laughter is a huge factor in enjoying a positive partnership and other fun couples add to the fun!

Having couples game night is one of my favorites and is usually a crowd pleaser. The biggest obstacle is scheduling. Well the good thing is that everyone has to eat daily so schedule your get together around things will already be doing. Who likes cooking on Friday, NOONE so have all the couples bring a fun side dish and let the games begin! Creating a fun, trusting and loving environment of couple friends is a great way to fortify and strengthen, as the good book say, Iron sharpens iron as so a friend sharpens a friend.
