Weeks passed by, months rolled on and finally we made it towards the final chapter. Throughout the entire pregnancy I visited both my midwife and OBGYN. After my last OBGYN visit, I was plauged with a sense of doubt, worry and fear. I was not empowered by my OB to continue with a natural birth after I reached 40 weeks and 1 day. They attempted to schedule a C-Section, since I was one day over. I had been researching a lot about going over 40 weeks both the pros and cons, something that really put me at ease was reading the birth story of a fellow mom. She went through a lot and also delivered passed her projected 40 weeks but was strong throughout the entire process and had a beautiful delivery. In addition to inspirational people, I also remained at peace through the written thoughts and prayers of my personal journey. I was on a mental and spiritual tranformation of peace and healing. I was in the process of transformation through chakras and reflecting on my inner most thoughts, feelings and desires. This was a huge part in my mental peace, freedom and power during my active labor; being at the highest connection with God, my baby and myself. I meditated, prayed and journaled. In one entry I shared: "When we breathe in love, trust and freedom, as we journey through a life of balance, we must simeoultaneously breathe out fear, powerlessness and despair. They cannot symbiotically exist in the same vessel. The power of letting go is much stronger than we often understand. Letting go of imbalance makes room for more goodness, balance and peace" Meditation, prayer and journaling gave me such a peace of mind and became a catalyst of positive transformation and preparation for the big day. Letting go of the thoughts and feelings that don't serve me and celebrating the ones that do, was a key element in my transformation as a better mother, wife and human.

The last leg of this journey will be shared tomorrow, so stay tuned! Like, share and comment your experience with birth, ways that you've personally transformed or just thoughts :)

With love and light,

Janeen
